Here are the things not to miss when driving to Maligne Lake!!
Maligne Canyon
While on a drive to Maligne Lake Road, this is the first and most interesting thing you will see. This hike is for everyone. Rushing water coming out of limestone, which made this canyon, is something you should not miss. This 200-foot wall is easy to see while you cross it through the bridge. You will witness several natural scenic views here, especially in spring and summer. Take an ice tour if you want.
Medicine Lake
People get excited to reach here because of the name it has and the beauty it owns. No hiking is required, and even a 15-minute interval here will give you a chance to view it all around. It appears as a huge lake due to summer and late spring thaw. Most of the water from the lake goes down through sinkholes in a cave, and the resurfaced water can be seen in the winter.

Maligne Lake
Everyone loves to see wildlife. It is an exciting moment to see animals in your surroundings when you are travelling! After driving for some time, you will reach to the Maligne Lake. The beauty of this lake may cross any other in the Rockies as several glaciers with their freshwater run off into it. On a sunny day, you will see the lake water in sparkling blue colour, attracting comfort to your eye. You can take a mesmerizing walk or enjoy a lakeside dinner.

Old Lodge Road
If you want to explore this place deeply, try this! While returning, don’t take the same route; instead, take a side route and cross Old Lodge Road. From here, go to Lake Annette Road. This route will take you to Edith and Annette Lake, which is heaven for paddleboard lovers. You will reach Fairmont Park Lodges from here, from where you can reach Beauvert Lake, the cleanest lake in Jasper.
You can go here any time of the year, though the summer season is something which every expert suggests as the scenic beauty is added during this time. Winter brings fewer crowds and gives you more time to enjoy your surroundings.
Reduced speed of vehicles is not advisable as it can create the danger of bear jam, a situation where other vehicles slow down due to one vehicle, attracting more traffic. Gas services are not available, and restaurants are limited to Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon.
