After enjoying the beauty of Medicine Lake, you can keep driving down Maligne Lake Road toward Maligne Lake. Maligne Lake is a glacial fed lake just a 45-minute drive from the town of Jasper. Be sure to watch for animals along the way! If you’re lucky, you might see bears, moose, elk, deer, sheep, and more. At the end of the road, you’ll find the peaceful Maligne Lake.

This small lake is on the Jasper Park Lodge property near Lac Beauvert. Mildred lake can be seen on your right-hand side as you approach the resort. Although it’s equally stunning in the summers as well as winters however, you will enjoy this lake in winters more as this turns into a winter wonderland.
Pyramid Lake

Valley of the Five Lakes
The Valley of the Five Lakes is a popular hiking circuit of five lakes! The trailhead is 5 kilometers south of Jasper along the Icefields Parkway. You can easily enjoy all five lakes in less than 2 hours. This is a 4.5 km easy circuit suitable for all age groups. While hiking you will get to enjoy the bright blue lakes with 4th & 5th lakes being the most beautiful. Although it’s a year-round hiking destination its always recommended to check the weather conditions.
